Comedy Theory Class (Week 2)

An exploration of why things are funny, what makes us laugh, and how context matters. This course dives into comedic content across genres, and artforms and breaks down the fundamentals of humor into applicable lessons. Learn to be a better student of comedy, and a better producer of it as well. Will we ruin some jokes for you forever by explaining them? Yes. Is it high concept and pretentious as hell? Oh yeah baby.

(Ages 18+) Taught by Ethan Goldman.

First class begins Thursday January 4th, from 5:30-7:30pm at the Peak Improv Theater (3440 N Carefree Cir, Unit 150) and will meet every Thursday for 7 weeks, with a final class performance on Saturday February 17th at 7pm. $5 tickets available at the door.
