What’s New?

Classes are now scheduled and available 6 months in advance! Check out our new public Class & Show Schedule to view them all. You can also see what’s on offer in our 2026 terms: January-February, March-April, and May- June.

New Class Structure. Improv 101, 201, 301, and 401 now serve as the backbone of our teaching philosphy, and offer students an additional class before introducing them to more performance-focused material. If you took any of our classic three improv levels, Intermediate is equivalent to Improv 301, and Advanced is equivalent to Improv 401. Improv 201 is an expansion on basic skills and should be the next stop for those who took Improv 101.

What class should I take? If you’re brand new to comedy, please only sign up for an Improv 101, Partnerprov or Stand-Up Class. If you have taken classes with us before, we ask that you refer to the prerequisites listed in the class desciptions. For Advanced students looking for more challenges this term while we pilot our conservatory program, check out Musical Improv or Longform Improv Class.

Our Conservatory Program (Performance focused classes) will be offered in January of 2026. These include Improv 501, 601, 701, and 801. These four application-only classes ensure that students who want to perform on teams get specialized coaching to prepare them for the stage. These classes focus on long-forms, advanced scenic exercises, creating original games, and high level team building. Groups that graduate from these higher levels can be invited to perform at the PiT as a stand-alone improv team, or be cast on existing teams.

Our new class prices are increased to be more in line with the national average cost of a 6-week improv class in the U.S. We offer a built in 7th week of review and a class performance for $175, while most other theaters charge $200-500. As we strive to keep our services affordable, we now also have an option to support our community by paying $25 extra for a class. Please only select that option if you can afford it. If you pay the higher tier price, that revenue will go directly to providing financial assistance and tuition discounts for other students. If you are in need of financial assisstance, please email us at info@peakimprov.com.

We do not offer refunds, or prorated pricing for missing classes. If you are interested in sampling an Improv 101 class, there are $25 drop-in vouchers available for each term. For all other classes, please note that a prerequisite is required to drop-in.

A Student ID is included with all purchases of a full term of classes. The Student ID entitles active students to free admission to all shows during the term priced $15 or less.
